When compared to a tow strap, a recovery rope will last so much longer and through tougher stuff! Check out YouTube and you can find videos of the construction of these ropes with their multiple layers giving them all the strength and flexibility needed to recover even the heaviest of vehicles with ease!

Usefulness - 5/5 stars

You can tow with one of these as well as recover a decently stuck vehicle. Best of all, you can do that hundreds of times until the rope starts to show wear before it ever needs to be replaced! Far better than a tow strap or chain.

Cost - 4/5 stars

This was a tough rating to assign. On the one hand, the sticker price is very high. On the other hand, when compared to tow straps and reusability, the cost per use is far better with a recovery rope as long as you take care of it (DON'T RUN OVER THE ROPE). I think I'm more affected by the sticker price which is while the cost takes a hit even though it has the best value for the price.

Here's where I can overlook the sticker price and be happy with the recovery rope. It does have the best price-per-use value, it can do all the things a tow strap can do but better, and if it should break, it's soft enough it won't do too much damage to you or your vehicle unlike a chain or hook ended strap. If you can afford one right off the bat, go for it! Otherwise start off with straps until you can get one of these.
