The hunt for a second MO Camper Award ends!!
The final trip of the year for the second MO Camper Award! Montauk State Park for the annual trout fishing trip! Unfortunately, this year's trip landed on the Rose Holland derby date so the place was PACKED with people! With the extremely heavy rains from April of this year, the trout hatchery lost many of its fish to the stream, which seemed evident in the available fish this year. Many small fish, too small for eating, were to be found and not nearly enough large fish despite the derby taking place. Oh well, better luck next year!
This year, with not one but two camper awards earned, was one for the ages! Next, I set my sights on Zion National Park!
