More that half the year has gone by and I am just now getting the first camping trip in. Got a lot of ground to cover and not much time left do it! Unfortunately, this trip would occur in some of the worst humidity possible with a frequent chance of storms each day. Although I made my site reservation nearly 1 month in advanced, I was really liking the pick of Dr Edmund Babler Memorial State Park in case things went seriously awry with the weather. Being rather close by, if we had to pull the plug on the trip, it wouldn't be that great of a loss.
This trip, due to the hot, sticky, and wet weather, would not be like most trips. It would not be filled with hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, exploration, and adventures of all kinds. Instead, this would be a "take it easy" kind of trip. As it had been nearly 8 months since the last camping trip, the unfavorable weather being present, surviving the elements was the name of the game! Of course, it won't be that much better in the coming months. Unfortunately, despite my best intentions, I never took a single picture of the outing! Crazy... nearly 8 months away from camping and I act like I've never done this before. Oh well, it's bound to happen sometimes! All in all, it was great to get back into the act of camping! Time to get 2021 rocking and rolling!
