Camping And Floating At Ozark National Scenic Riverways

Updated: Jun 2

After completing the MO National Park Passport Challenge, it was time to revisit the Ozark National Scenic Riverways one more time! This time would be a 3 day camping trip with a beautiful, scenic float trip down the Current River!

I'll leave the words to a minimum as they won't do any better than the pictures can do themselves! Ozark National Scenic Riverways is truly Missouri's most valuable natural treasure!

The float trip from Pulltite to Round Spring was about 11.85 miles, took about 4 hours and 15 minutes, held a moving average of nearly 4 miles per hour, and an overall average of 2.8 miles per hour. The trip was nothing short of magical and was very exciting to say the least!

Watching my friends in their flipped canoe, I managed to get hung up on a log and, as a result, I too went under. A bit of a rookie mistake but it was fun nevertheless!

Span of 3 days; Approximately 351.9 miles; Approximately 25.86 gallons of gas used; Approximate average MPG 14.45; Approximately $50.92 spent on gas.
