MO State Parks Centennial Passport Challenge (part 10)!

Updated: Jun 2

It was finally the weekend once again so why not another campout as the unseasonably warm weather continues!

The plan was simple, get packed Thursday, leave Friday after work, spend 2 nights camping, and get back in time to unload and store everything before the work week begins on Monday.

The destination would be Dr Edmund Babler Memorial State Park and, without reservations, I would try to get there before the gates locked for the night. Despite traffic, that would turn out to be the easy part... To my surprise, the place was PACKED! With the unseasonably warm weather, it was bound to happen! Fortunately I got a spot but only for one night which worked out perfect! I managed to forget the camping dishes so I couldn't eat anything I cooked.... Plus it would give me more time to rest up and prepare for the coming work week!

Completing this trip today added 1 more park to my list bringing the running total to 56 of 88!

Span of 2 days; Approximately 47 miles; Approximately 3.19 gallons of gas; Approximate average MPG 14.7 through some terrible traffic late in the day on Friday 11/4
